They also might be responsible for the Isley Brothers’ glut down there as well. In 2009, K-Tel re-released this on CD (<a title="Super Bad on Amazon.com" href="http://www.amazon.com/K-Tel-Presents-Superbad-Various-Artists/dp/B0028SVQCS" target="_blank">Amazon linky</a>) with accompanying rather bombastic piece of puff:</p> <blockquote> <p><span>This K-Tel comp sold over a million copies back in the day (who can forget those TV ads?). The vinyl gives way to CD but the music remains the same: 14 of the baddest funk and soul hits of the 70s: Brick House Commodores; Get on the Good Foot James Brown; Love Rollercoaster Ohio Players; What s Going On Marvin Gaye; Masterpiece Temptations; Keep on Truckin Eddie Kendricks, plus Stevie Wonder, Pointer Sisters and more!</span></p> </blockquote> <p>Except, as the sole disgruntled reviewer points out, the music is not exactly the same. Only three of the original vinyl LP tracks are on the CD, which makes the marketing puff rather bizarre.
